Yungaburra has more heritage listed buildings than anywhere outside of regional centres in Queensland and enjoys a reputation as an accommodation hub within the Tablelands region.
Yungaburra is renowned for its monthly markets, the annual Folk Festival, a gateway to Lake Tinaroo, and more recently the opening of the Avenue of Honour, a moving tribute to the fallen Australian soldiers of the Afghanistan campaign.
