The Yungaburra Visitor Information Centre (VIC) is nestled in the heart of Yungaburra — a quaint heritage village bedecked with flowers all year round. Yungaburra is a great place to base your Tablelands stay, and where better to find out what to see and do than at the accredited visitor information centre, which is open 7 days a week.
You can choose here from a range of accommodation options including village motels and bed and breakfast, to boutique cottages and isolated cabins. Find out what’s on during your stay, from the famous Yungaburra monthly markets, the annual folk festival or triathlon, live music at the Yungaburra pub, or water sports on Lake Tinaroo.
Drop in and see the helpful volunteers at the VIC and get details about the Peterson Creek Wildlife and Botanical Walk, the best spots to see platypus nearby, the Afghanistan Avenue of Honour, crater lakes and waterfalls to visit, and the Curtain Fig National Park.
Pick up maps of the local walking and cycling trails including the Historic Yungaburra brochure and Old Town Loop map and take in the history and times gone by of this tiny town.
Well stocked with locally made arts and crafts, the VIC is a good place to pick up a souvenir or to find out more about the galleries and art shops in the village which showcase works of local artists for that unique gift.
